CODATU
will attend the next Movin’On Summit, together with
SYTRAL, KMRL and FabMob
What is “Movin’On”?
For the past 20 years, Michelin has been organizing the “Michelin Challenge Bibendum”, which used to be one of the world’s most renowned conference on sustainable mobility. In 2017, they have rebranded this event as “Movin’On.” The second Movin’On event, which is set to take place from May 30 to June 1, 2018 in Montreal, will aim to build on the work undertaken by the 4,000 participants from 31 countries who took part in the event in 2017. The objective is to move “from ambition to action”. Six subject areas to spark discussions will be discussed: Decarbonization, multimodality, innovative technologies, acceleration of the change, circular economy, Moonshots in mobility.
Which contribution from CODATU?
Together with SYTRAL and KMRL, CODATU is setting-up a participatory session on Multimodality, and how to engage citizens in the whole process. The objective of the session is to highlight the great experience of Kochi (India) in that field, as well as the contribution of Lyon (France), as part of the technical cooperation with KMRL; the ultimate objective being to discuss the relevance of city-to-city cooperations to make things move forward in a sustainable and inclusive way.
CODATU will also attend the various events organized by the Fabrique des Mobilités, on Open Source Vehicles, Car-sharing and car-pooling, Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and the project of “Mobility account”, the creation of community of practice in Africa (in connection with the Open Lab Frugal Mobility). The FabMob will also take this opportunity to work on the Centre of Excellente in Mobility in Quebec.
